To the Women of Hope

There is always risk in trying to thank everyone who should be thanked for fear of leaving someone out. So it is with our 2008 Christmas in July Salad Luncheon and Sale. Our women spent many hours in preparation and in providing a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Thank you everyone!

Your input about the event would be welcomed for consideration at our August board meeting, looking to make 2009 even better.

Financial information will be available soon, and can be found on the bulletin board as soon as possible. Basically, we had a good day, were blessed with good weather, and again made a good profit. Thank you to everyone, including those who came to shop and enjoy the salad luncheon.

Once again, the Men of Hope came to set up and take down. We are truly appreciative! Many thanks!

Remember to pick up your salad bowls, etc., from the kitchen.

Our August salad pot luck and Bible study will be at noon August 6, following the August board meeting. Mary Louise Isakson will guide us through our Bible study, based upon the Lutheran Women Today materials. Please bring your copy of LWT. Also, invite new members and friends. Lydia Circle is scheduled to hostess.

Miriam Circle is scheduled to clean the kitchen in August.

We anticipate repeating our houseboat trip(s) in August, and will be looking for someone to chair the event. The board also favors having a fall retreat, again needing a chair or chairpersons.

We are still in need of a Vice Chair who can assume the Chair position for 2009. Think about this, and volunteer, ask someone, or call me with your ideas.
